We are delighted to announce that, following a rigorous application process, our Managing Director, Caroline Packer, has been shortlisted for the award of Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) of the year 2019 in the Devon & Somerset Law Society’s Legal Awards. This is a huge honour and Caroline is justifiably proud of being selected for such a highly-contended category.
The category of Chartered Legal Executive of the year is brand new to the Devon and Somerset Law Society who have been running the awards since 2016. Since their inception, the objective of these awards has been to recognise the high calibre of law firms practicing within this particular area and to celebrate the achievements of both winning and shortlisted firms and individuals in order to create an increased sense of pride in what they do.
According to DASL’s website:
“The Chartered Legal Executive of the Year will be a practising Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and can have practised in any type of organisation and discipline.
They will be an exemplar for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and will likely have achieved particular recognition for their professional work and / or their work in their community or charitable body.
The Judging Panel will look for CILEx Fellows who have achieved particular success within their organisation, worked in a ground-breaking area of law, made a specific contribution to their community and / or made contribution to promoting access to the legal profession.
The judges will be looking for entrants who have gone the extra mile and beyond, having a positive and demonstrable impact on their organisation, colleagues, community and the profession. There are many factors that the judges can consider but will be looking for evidence of great client care, involvement with CSR activities, personal development, team working, promotion of diversity and inclusion, leadership, empathy, professional respect and contribution to advancing the profession.”
The awards will be held in the beautiful surroundings of Exeter Cathedral on the 4th April 2019 and it promises to be a spectacular evening!
