Happy New Year and a 2017 Recap
Happy New Year to my Linked-in Friends. I hope 2018 proves to be a successful year for you all.
As we step forward into this New Year it has led me to reconsider the developments of 2017 from my company’s perspective. To simply say it has been a busy and productive year for my company would be an understatement.
I always make a point of closing our office over the Christmas period to let all our team have that valuable family time and time to truly unwind. This year it has also given us the opportunity to have our offices redecorated so we will be returning to work tomorrow fresh in minds as well as décor (but perhaps with a few windows open to get rid of the remaining paint smell!)
Extensive recruitment has taken place to expand our administrative, medical and legal team and alongside this our client base has also expanded.
Invoice factoring has been introduced which allows us to now offer 90 day payment terms in Legal Aid funded claims.
We launched our new digital booklet service which has proved a massive hit amongst our clients “DMR Collation’s flagship Digital Booklet service has transformed the way we work and allowed us to solve a number of problems in our office. We were able to free up a significant amount of space by storing hundreds of volumes of paper medical records off site and still have instant access to the documents. We have also received very positive feedback from our experts one of who commented that “I was able to find individual parts of the records easily. This is so much better than paper as most of us writing reports have delivery and storage problems also” (DrGF). Paperless working is the future and DMR Collation is ahead of the game!” (Angela Kirtley, Partner, Irwin Mitchel LLP).
We have completed another business year without a single complaint – a now 8 year unbroken record!
In October 2017, I was awarded the prestigious President’s Award from C.I.L.E.x in recognition of my contribution to the legal community. This was a tremendous honour and an award I was humbled to receive.
So what does 2018 hold for DMR Collation?
DMR Collation have been shortlisted for the Modern Law Awards – Supporting the Industry (1-24 employee) category. The Awards, now in their fifth year are a chance for the industry to recognise talent, entrepreneurship and showcase the best practices in the industry. My team are delighted that their work and devotion to delivering a professional and reliable service has led to this great achievement. Personal injury is a very fast paced and competitive marketplace. Reforms to the industry have forced firms to adapt and change their business model over the last four years. DMR Collation have continued to offer competitive pricing, attention to detail and innovation to truly support the industry. This black tie event will be held at London’s Lancaster Hotel on the 18th January 2018.
I am happy to announce that DMR Collation will be exhibiting for the first time at this years’ APIL annual conference in April and thereafter at APIL’s annual residential clinical negligence conference in October. I look forward to meeting all delegates and showcasing our new digital booklet service. #APILAC2018. #APILCN2018.
I am looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings, especially when it comes to the PI reforms! Best wishes to you all.
